Public Relations
The Public Relations Department acts as the point of contact between the University Library and the public. We provide information about the University Library's services, projects, and events and ensure consistent communication both internally and externally. Our responsibilities include maintaining the University Library website and social media channels, producing print and informational materials, planning and organizing events and exhibitions, and coordinating press relations and media inquiries.

Services
Photo and Filming Permits
Photography and filming within the subject libraries of Mannheim University Library, as well as the publication of such material, require prior approval from the Public Relations Department. We would be happy to advise you on filming locations and possibilities within the university library premises.
Please allow sufficient lead time for your filming request and provide the following information:
- client
- contact person
- phone number
- type and occasion of the filming
- desired date(s) and time period
- desired filming locations
For inquiries regarding filming at the University of Mannheim, please contact the university's press office.
Display of print media
The display of print media and the hanging of posters in the university library is only permitted with the approval of the Public Relations Department.

The decision to display print media or hang posters is made by the Public Relations Department of the University Library. Independent display of print media within the subject libraries, especially at workstations, is strictly prohibited.
Exhibition Spaces
The Mannheim University Library offers two exhibition spaces that are available to members of the university for use as part of seminars or collaborative projects. We are happy to advise you on the possibilities for organizing exhibitions within the library premises.
Exhibitions:
In the subject library A3, an exhibition space is available featuring eight display cases, three tabletop display cases, and six pinboards. There is also the option to enhance the exhibition with multimedia content via a media station. This space is particularly suitable for medium to large exhibitions involving physical objects.Poster Exhibitions:
In the Central Lending Library, there is an exhibition area equipped with 20 frames in A1 format. This space is especially well suited for poster exhibitions as well as art and photography displays.
