Since 1965 the European Documentation Centre (EDC) of the University of Mannheim is part of a worldwide information network, which has been set up in the early 1960s by the European Commission. Today there are more than 350 European Documentation Centres in the EU Member States. The purpose of the network is the support of academic study and research on European integration. The e-survey is the main component of the “Reflecting on Europe” campaign, which was launched at the request of the European Council President. The results are available online.

A special website has been set up allowing all Europeans to express their views on the White Paper on the Future of Europe. President Junckers' State of the Union speech on September 13th will take these ideas forward. First conclusions can be drawn at the December 2017 European Council.
