Since 1965 the European Documentation Centre (EDC) of the University of Mannheim is part of a worldwide information network, which has been set up in the early 1960s by the European Commission. Today there are more than 350 European Documentation Centres in the EU Member States. The purpose of the network is the support of academic study and research on European integration. European SME Week Youth Essay Competition 2017|
The deadline for entries of an essay addressing the question: “What skills do tomorrow’s entrepreneurs need?”is 8 September 2017. The top three entries will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the SME Assembly in Tallinn this year.

The public consultation to gather the views of citizens and stakeholders on the current Regulation for the European citizens’ initiative is open until 16 August.
Future of Europe Debate|
A special website has been set up allowing all Europeans to express their views on the White Paper on the Future of Europe. President Junckers' State of the Union speech on September 13th will take these ideas forward. First conclusions can be drawn at the December 2017 European Council.
