Since 1965 the European Documentation Centre (EDC) of the University of Mannheim is part of a worldwide information network, which has been set up in the early 1960s by the European Commission. Today there are more than 350 European Documentation Centres in the EU Member States. The purpose of the network is the support of academic study and research on European integration. Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2023|
Sweden has taken over the EU Council Presidency since 1 January. With the Czech Republic and France they are working in trio on the basis of a joint programme.
