European Documentation Centre

The European Documentation Center (EDC) at the Mannheim University Library supports you by providing information on all policy areas of the European Union.

As part of an EU-wide information network, the EDC Mannheim offers assistance in researching official documents and publications of the European institutions as well as scientific literature on the EU. The EDC also supports research and teaching with specialist advice and the provision of information.

Collection of the EDC

Research the holdings of the EDC Mannheim in the EDC database (as of March 2023). The database is no longer updated.

You will find the print holdings of the EDC in the A5 Library on the lower floor.

EU databases

The EU institutions provide numerous databases. Examples are:

  • Curia (jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice)
  • EurLex (EU law)
  • Eurostat (EU statistics)
  • Public Opinion / European Commission (surveys by the European Commission, including Eurobarometer)

The databases can be accessed via the database information system (DBIS).
