Design Thinking

Design thinking is a systematic approach to complex problems.

This method is primarily used by companies and various research disciplines to develop ideas and product prototypes. It is characterized by playful and creative methods and an openness to unconventional solutions.

The ExpLAB's design thinking tools are particularly suitable for group work and complex projects. The lab space can be used in a variety of ways: There is ample room for presentation areas, a large whiteboard, a mobile screen with integrated touchscreen and adjustable tables.

In our tool rack you will find numerous materials for free use: from handicraft materials, moderation cards and stopwatches to building materials for three-dimensional visualization, there are suitable tools for every project.

The design thinking toolkit is freely accessible without prior registration and has classic materials that play a role in design thinking approaches: e.g. writing and crafting materials, moderation cards and a set of LEGO Serious Play.

  • For lecturers and researchers

You are free to use the design thinking options for your courses. This opens up exciting opportunities for your teaching activities in the context of seminars, research and project seminars, service learning, workshops or work in small and working groups.
