The seventh annual Open Science Day will take place on 28 October 2025. This year, BERD@NFDI and the Open Science Office have co-organized the Open Science Day to showcase, share, and discuss the diverse range of open science activities and experiences taking place at the University of Mannheim and beyond.

We are delighted to announce that our keynote speaker this year is Vasilka Paunova, the legal counsel for BERD@NFDI, who will present Open and GDPR-Compliant Science – highlighting the legal challenges posed by Open Science and Research Data Management and potential solutions.

BERD@NFDI will address the role of Open Science and Research Data Management in business and economics research. We will cover incentives for doing Open Science and their impact on research in the social sciences, as well as shifting journal requirements for transparency in the political sciences. Our latest 2025 awardees will also present their funded projects and the Open Science practices they will use in their diverse research.

All members and researchers of the University of Mannheim and beyond are invited to join our Open Science Day.

We would be delighted if you are able to attend this event. If you are interested in attending, please sign up below:
